Apple Wallet Access Program (UAP)

Apple Platform

Apple's program for credential providers and credential managers participating in Apple Wallet–based access control. UAP defines the technical roles (Credential Provider vs. Credential Manager), the provisioning bundle format, the signing-key ceremony, and the Apple Pay API surface that credential providers integrate with.

AE participates in UAP both directly (Wavelynx CP topology — AE acts as Credential Manager and talks to Apple via the Apple Pay API) and indirectly (HID CP topology — HID Origo Integration Service is the Apple-facing entity and AE consumes downstream).

Distinct from the Apple Credential Manager role (partner-facing, user-onboarding-focused) and the Apple Credential Provider role (cryptographic-counterparty, Apple Pay API–facing). Both roles participate in UAP; one CP can serve multiple CMs.
