Cardholder
The principal identity inside a Physical Access Control System (PACS). A cardholder is the person whose credentials (badges / cards / tokens / mobile passes) grant physical access at readers and doors. In AE Guardian, a cardholder corresponds to an Identity — the same person may also exist in an HR system (Workday, SAP HR), an IAM system (Okta, Entra), and one or more PACS simultaneously. Guardian reconciles the cardholder representation across all systems.
Vendor terminology varies meaningfully — what AMAG calls a cardholder is what CCURE calls a Personnel, what Avigilon represents as an LDAP-style object with cn attribute, and what Lenel models in the OnGuard PERSONID schema.
